Leadership

Wm. Geoff Whitney
Executive Director / Board President

Geoff comes from a long career in Information Technology. While this career has been rewarding, a more fulfilling thread has been many years of servanthood in local churches and ministries. Geoff served as Treasurer on the board of another non-profit for several years, a training and equipping ministry that comes alongside the local church. Geoff has helped lead multiple mission trips to Peru, Hungary, and Kenya and in addition to helping to steward the ministry’s finances, delighted in overseeing the Benevolence ministry.

In January 2021, Geoff got the clear call from the Lord that he would be partnering with multiple ministries and mission organizations around the world; thus birthing the dream that eventually became the 410 Foundation, where he serves as Executive Director. In this role he helps fund and equip Kingdom work around the globe. Having worked with many ministries and missionaries over the years, Geoff is keenly aware of the financial needs a typical ministry faces on a monthly basis that often exceeds their monthly support, especially new projects, vehicles, and travel.

Geoff has been married for 30 years to his wife Kelly – and together they have 4 sons, a daughter-in-law, a Welsh Corgi and a Golden Doodle who is princess of the household.

Eric Cantrell
Board Secretary

Eric Cantrell has spent his professional career in the realm of engineering, surveying, land development and systems implementation. He specializes in communication with multiple professional entities for specific varied projects, most recently reviewing projects in several states for sound boundary analysis with his multiple state licenses.

His real passion, however, is serving others at ministries and churches he and his wife Debi have attended over three decades. Leading Bible studies, ushering, kids (4th grade boys) hosting bible studies in their home, a mission trip to Mexico, volunteering for Harvest Crusades, sponsoring missionaries, sponsoring kids though Compassion International and helping his wife at a women’s clinic saving at-risk babies.

Eric heard Geoff Whitney’s testimony that the Lord called him to partner with multiple ministries and mission organization around the world and is one hundred percent behind the 410 Foundation. He is current serving as the board secretary and is excited to see the great things God is about to do.

Eric and Debi have been married for 28 years and have a son and daughter, daughter in law and a granddaughter!

Mark Smith
Board Vice President

Mark Smith has an  entrepreneurial bent that began after graduating from seminary at Columbia International University.  He launched discipleship camps for students and coordinated short-term mission trips in third world countries for thirty churches.  An ordained minister, he was a student pastor for ten years. These initiatives provided him with a seasoned, experiential knowledge of what make a successful, effective ministry, especially at the leadership level.

He later ventured into Homebuilding, Online Businesses, Professional Staff Development Consulting, and Financial Portfolio Investment/ Management.  Mark’s passion is getting things done while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.

Mark serves as Board Vice President of the 410 Foundation.  When he and Geoff Whitney first met, something just clicked, and they’ve formed a bond that belies the short time they’ve know each other.  Mark’s background in investment, portfolio management, and partnering with and evaluating effective ministries will serve the Foundation well.

Gerald Hand Board Member, e-Commerce & Content

Gerald has a long history of service and dedication to the Lord. He was an active member of FCA in high school. During college he fell away in a manner of speaking but was not swayed by the religion classes arguing other religions purported to have Christ-like figures. It wasn’t until after he had separated from the Army where his passion for the Lord was ignited. His wife Deena, who’s family served in many capacities including the Salvation Army, reached out to friends from the Army living in the area. Reaching out, they were invited to church where Gerald was introduced to reading the Bible daily and gleaning lessons from it. Shortly after rededicating his life to Christ and the baptism of his 2 sons, his career took an immediate turn as a spiritual journey began.

During this time his worldly desires and interests were and an closer relationship with the Lord’s developed. He has served as Sunday School teacher, security team member, small group member and leader as well as a brother to those in need around him. Out of obedience several years ago he and his wife felt a calling in their spirit to leave the church they were “plugged in” and followed the Lord’s guidance. This took them to another church, more scripturally sound, and one that would introduce him to Geoff and his Promise Principle men’s group.

Gerald’s professional experience spans many areas as a former Captain in the US Army, then as a surgical sales representative for divisions in Johnson & Johnson, then as a manager and trainer in the automotive industry. He is currently a lead trainer and a motivating force for the largest Medicare Advantage Plan provider in the US where has has trained several hundred new agents to sell help improve access to healthcare for tens of thousands Medicare recipients.
He and his wife Deena have been together since high school, were married nearly 35 years ago and have 3 grown children. They hail from the state of Oregon where the balance of their family reside.
